Block settings
Universal settings
Every block shares common settings for consistent design control, which we call Universal settings for Blocks.
These Universal settings include:
Layout and spacing:
- Padding: Top, bottom, left, right for both desktop and mobile
- Margin: Top, bottom for both desktop and mobile
- Animation: Choose Global or Custom
- Alignment: Left, Center, Right
- Width: Fit, Fill, or Custom
- Hide on mobile or not
Appearance:
- Inherit the color scheme from the parent group or not
- Background type: None, Color, Gradient, with opacity control
- Background blur
- Border: Choose border type and corner radius
Typography for text-based blocks
- Text preset (configurable in theme settings)
- Color (configurable in theme settings)
- Color opacity
- Line clamp: Set where the paragraph truncates
- Highlight: Set the decoration color and effect for texts
Animation
- Global or custom animation
Block-specific settings
Some blocks have specific settings that you can only find on the sections.
Image block settings:
- Aspect ratio: Choose Auto, Preset or Custom ratio
- Object fit options: Choose fit and fill for the block's width and height
- Max width: Set the max width that an image can have, useful when being responsive on various screens.
Button block settings:
- Button preset: Choose the built-in presets for buttons
- Variant: Choose the button being Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, or other
- Open the link in a new tab: Control if users can open a new tab with the button URL
- Icon: Choose the button icon from the theme's library
Video block settings:
- Video source: upload, Youtube, Vimeo
- Autoplay and loop control
- Cover image for the video
- Video alt text
Countdown block settings:
- Timer mode: Fixed date to end on the set time, Evergreen to reset after the set time
- Days settings: Turn on showing days or not
