What are popups​

Popups are small, attention-grabbing windows that appear on your store to highlight promotions, collect emails, or display important messages. They help increase engagement and conversions when used effectively.

Types of Popups in Xotiny themes​

Our theme supports 6 types of popups:

  • Sign up popup: Invite customers to sign up with their emails
  • Cookie consent: Inform customers that your site use cookies to capture data
  • Age verification popup: Confirm if customers are old enough to enter your site
  • Countdown promo popup: Show a countdown that is linked to your time-sensitive event
  • Promo popup: Inform visitors about a news or current sales
  • Sale notification: Increase sales through popup about recent purchases on the site.

Popup target page setting​

You can choose which pages should the popups be shown. Follow these steps to set it up.

Step 1: Open the popup settings

  • Insert the popup inside the theme editor
  • Choose the condition Where to show > On target pages

Step 2: Add target pages

  • Enter the page name in the Target pages field.
  • Each name should be placed on a separate line.
  • Use the following values to define the display location.

Page Name - Rule Input

  • Home page - index
  • Product page - product
  • Collection page - collection
  • Article page - article
  • Blog page - blog
  • Cart page - cart
  • Regular page - page
  • List collections page - list-collections
  • Search page - search
  • Policy page - policy
  • Not found page - 404
  • Account page - customers/account
  • Activate account page - customers/activate_account
  • Addresses page - customers/addresses
  • Login page - customers/login
  • Order page - customers/order
  • Register page - customers/register
  • Reset password page - customers/reset_password

For example, if you want the popup to appear on:

  • Home page
  • Product page
  • Cart page

Enter the following in the Target pages field:

  • index
  • product
  • cart
note
  • The popup will only appear on pages that match the specified rules.
  • Multiple rules can be combined for broader display coverage.
